Fantastic!
This was a really good movie! The story was engaging and heartfelt, with a mix of reaching for the stars, navigating family drama, and finding one's own path in the world.
Japanese-wise, it was easy enough to watch with JP subtitles and LLN, but there was occasional ギャル slang that LLN didn't pick up. Also, it helps if you know a bit (just common knowledge stuff) related to Japanese history since there's some comedy that relates to it.
Definitely recommend if the premise appeals to you!
