Cute kids movie that was nice, but felt a bit shallow and simplistic. The vocab and grammar felt simple relative to most 日常 (slice of life) shows I've watched, especially high school ones. So if you can understand those comfortably (or even semi-comfortably) this should be fine.

This felt a lot like a Studio Ghibli film so if you like them, I guess you'll like this too but I'm personally not a big fan of those kinds of movies (shocker, I know).
Given the title, I expected a more dramatic and sad story but it wasn't really the case.
The language is very accessible although the 面や speaks a little weirdly.

An interesting movie, but some of the plot is difficult to follow because of the narrative structure. The story comes together in the second half, but a lot of questions are left open to interpretation. The characters are seemingly shallow and just boring to watch.
For language learning, this movie is a good test, and it was perhaps a little above my comfort zone at the time of this review. The Mask Seller (お面屋) speaks strangely and at one point very childishly. The words and grammar were not
