The dialogue feels simplified compared to the manga. So if the manga was easy to read, this shouldn’t be too bad. It covers events up to volume 5 at least.
Reading the manga is unnecessary though. The volumes were condensed and scenes were added to make it feel like a complete, stand-alone movie. Which kind of ruins it for someone who has read it.
