Masterpiece
I had watched this movie 3 times before knowing any Japanese years ago, and now finally my time to shine after hundreds of hours of language study! 君の名は is such a beautiful movie in every regard. The animation is top tier, voice acting, character development, storybuilding, and of course, a romance that defies space and time. Watched this movie with about 10k words under my belt, and even still was able to mine about 40 unknown words. The language present in this movie is very similar to the language spoken daily in Japan. I think this is an excellent material for study for people of any level. 100% recommend.

Incredible movie... it's hard to know where to even start. Worth watching for the animation alone (the music isn't bad either, tho I'm not the hugest Radwimps fan). There's some excellent voice actors in it as well! Anyway, it's famous, so I won't try to summarize.
Language: there's lots of Hida ben (sub-dialect of Gifu-Aichi family) & Tokyo dialect (the movie takes place in a fictional town in Gifu prefecture, and in Tokyo), some vocab specific to meteorology, shinto, etc. if you want to prime yourself prior to watching the movie, I'd suggest reading the excellent manga adaptation (which also apparently has a few cut scenes).
The manga may not match the visual quality, but otherwise it really matches the movie very well - and in some ways felt more organic to me. Honestly, I think I would have been a bit more confused with the movie, if I'd watched it first. In any case, I love them both :)
