흥부전

A great first intermediate level book

Yet another graded reader from the Darakwon series. The story is pretty nice, and different from anything I'd ever read before. I was excited to read further to know what would happen to 흥부 and 놀부.

Level wise, it's definitely a big jump from the previous A2 graded reader but still a lot easier than the next B2 one (춘향전). There is quite a lot of intermediate grammar, but as always some of it is explained in the form of little bubbles along the text. There's also some TOPIK II vocab, but little vocab notes at the bottom of the page help a lot, and generally those were words that I would have needed to look up anyways. In addition, you get some explanations for expressions.
