Painful

I came into this expecting an abridged set of mysteries. It's much harder than that.

When the narrator talks or describes events, everything is fine. Same for the newspaper articles, which were interesting to go through. However, once Dupin speaks.... urgh, it's usually harder than stuff I've read elsewhere. Random theories and logic, latin and french terms, etc.

It's like this book switches between something in the low/mid 20s to something around ~30

I found reading this painful at times, so I am glad to finish this -- and would not recommend this unless you really like Poe.
