I was on the fence about whether to give this a 3 or 4, but I realized a lot of my frustrations came from reading the novels first. I think it's pretty enjoyable on its own though, and I appreciate that there's no fan service. My main criticism would be that Euphilia comes off very flatly, b/c a lot of what makes her character interesting is her (lost in adaptation) inner monologue. Otherwise I think it's enjoyable enough on both a fantasy and yuri level. If (like me) you're kinda burnt out on the isekai thing, this is a great choice - b/c it doesn't feel like one at all. You meet Anis as a 16 year old (well after she got reincarnated), and the only times it's referenced in the story, it connects to some meaningful plot or character developments. To my surprise the ending is actually faithful as well.
Anyway, if you watch it and wish Euphilia had more personality, the magic stuff was a bit more explained (something which is actually story-relevant, and not just info-dumping), and what to see various characters receive better characterization, then I'd recommend the light novels | L33 (which have good audiobooks btw). The one thing I'll credit the show with is that I think it does a better job with the ending than the novel does (tho I was not crazy about the fact that they transferred Thomas' role in comforting Anis in the last arc to Tiltee).
Overall I think it's worth the watch. The main linguistic challenge will be all the aristocratic stuff, and to a lesser extent the fantasy vocab (but I'd say it's on the lighter side, certainly compared to say わたおし | L29)
