There's not really anything I can say about the contents of this short story without spoiling everything. I enjoyed it though.
As is typical for 江戸川乱歩: Old grammar and a lot of kanji instead of kana. If you're not familiar with older writing styles you'll probably spend a lot of time with a dictionary.

T氏は自殺を企んでいるは最初から分かった。T氏はそれを自分で言った。だから銃の第二弾丸は違うも撃つ前に分かった。トリックの第一のレイヤーは分かったけど、第二レイヤーで騙された。やっぱり江戸川乱歩は天才で私の一番好きな作家である。騙されるのはイライラするけど。
この短編で気に入った表現は「虫の息」である。使い機会はあまりないと思うけど。
