봄희 runs a small art hagwon in her neighborhood. One day, an elderly woman comes to the hagwon to learn how to draw a self-portrait. During their lessons, 봄희 reflects on her life and the lives of her loved ones.
I really love this webtoon. It touches on themes of loves and losses, dreams and regrets, and growing up and growing old. The characters in this story are very multidimensional. The author does a great job of helping us see people in their full self and not as “good” or “bad.” As someone who prefers shades of grey over black-and-white thinking, I really enjoy this.
I’ve always found webtoons pretty challenging, but this webtoon has been quite easy to read. There are not a lot of slangs. The story is easy to follow, which helps you understand some unknown words in context. I would highly recommend this for learners looking for a webtoon to read! But be prepared to shed some tears 🥲
