Story

The book demonstrates a nice combination of mystery, fantasy and SF elements. There are mainly two narrative threads, both from the protagonist's perspective, but in different timelines. The two threads gradually paints the full picture of the world, and at the end, uncover the reality, which is unexpected yet reasonable with some hints throughout the story. Overall, the story is smooth and enjoyable.

Language

The writing is a bit light-novel-ish. Despite having some fantasy and SF elements, the language usage isn't too hard, and is overall easy to read.
