Our eponymous heroine is a beautiful model who spends time lying around on a yacht owned by her twin sister’s millionaire boyfriend, but is despondent because she is all alone. Despite her assertion that "Männer sind Idioten", she agrees to an odd speed-dating plan with her sister (twins can’t exist in storyland without swapping identities, it seems).
Something I’ve noticed with this series is that the stories are full of brands: all the different cars the characters drive or even happen to pass, the names of luxury clothes and accessories they wear, the beverages they drink… As well as that, every single establishment that appears in the story - every restaurant and hotel visited - is referred to by its name, and there are lots of celebrities, films, bands, etc. that get mentioned, too. I think this is done to make the stories seem more relatable or current, but it’s just... so much…
While the story won’t be to anyone’s everyone’s liking (unless you like the idea of Mills & Boon Lite™), treat it like a parody - it will be all the more enjoyable.
Overall, an easy read with high-quality audio, which takes less than an hour to finish.
