Easy to Read

This was a very easy read, mostly common vocabulary with a smattering of shrine/mythology related words. I listened along with the audiobook, which was fine for the main character's voice, but sounded pretty much the same for all of the male voices. It was first time reading extensively, without looking anything up, and wasn't hard to follow.

The story wasn't really what I was looking for, unfortunately. The main character didn't really have a goal or a purpose, so the story felt a bit aimless. She was also (as people kept telling her) kinda dumb. I was hoping for more mythological drama than there was, although the last chapter was more dramatic for sure.

All in all, this is good if you want something easy and quick to read, but the story isn't much to write home about.
