86―エイティシックス―

Really interesting as an opening for a series, the ending make it so you could probably read this one as a standalone and be satisfied with it, I think it deserves it's rating though, 86 is quite a tricky read, a lot of N1 grammar and vocabulary, but what makes it harder is the military vocab used throughout the book. You'll get used to it quite quickly but it still takes some mental effort to follow all the new words related to military vehicles in universe, how they function, the distance and caliber of each weapons, their purpose, etc. It's really enjoyable to read and often questions your moral views, so aside from the learning opportunity it gives the story in itself is amazing, I would definitely recommend giving this first volume its chance.
