A very short ghost story. Some railway workers get a call about a body on the rails, and go to investigate. There are several gruesome descriptions of deaths by train, that are actually more shocking than the story itself. Language-wise it has the difficulties you'd expect from a story written in 1938, but after the first couple of pages it gets significantly easier.
