I love this series!

I feel like as I read this series the characters grow on me more and more. I found these cases more enjoyable than the first volume and like that we have a few reoccurring characters coming back. Layering on the subplot of the main character's relationship with his wife adds another enjoyable dimension.

As for language learning, the series is a very comfortable read. I've finished Genki 1 and 2 and have just started Quartet 1 and with a dictionary it's pretty easy to understand.
