A satisfying ending to a good series
I have to say, my feelings from the first book haven't really changed; I had a good time all the way reading through the series. It had a satisfying ending, and the art did indeed improve throughout. There were certain volumes where the furigana in the Kindle version got really small and hard to read, but it was inconsistent, so once you could power through a section the next likely wouldn't be as bad.
I was a bit sad that romance-wise (slight spoilers) the earlier books were never really topped; kisses were about the farthest we saw, but the leads' emotional bond was consistent and felt very fulfilling. (Story spoilers) The jump backwards in time during this volume and the last was very much appreciated, and I personally was a fan of how the villain was handled in the story, though I'm sure some will feel like it was a cop-out on the author's part.
I felt that, in terms of vocabulary, once you could power through the first three or four volumes you were unlikely to hit anything radically new; the rest of the series basically just acted as reinforcement.
