Highly recommend this for a first manga!
This is a fantastic beginner manga. It has furigana on everything, relatively simple words and pretty standard sentences. I found this much more straightforward than the popular よつばと！when I first started reading. The Wanikani book club is great too, as the vocabulary sheet has extensive coverage.
It's also a nice story - it's about a young witch and her cat moving in with some distant relatives to start high school. There's not a ton of magic in this book - it's almost entirely slice of life, but the narrative never gets boring. I'm not particularly attached to any character, but it was enjoyable.
Overall, I highly recommend this book for beginners and I think this makes a great first manga.
