The story plays out in a university setting. That made it great for extending useful vocabulary. I found that the main story could be easily understood once I looked up all the words I did not know. Personally, I found that the story didn't grab my attention as much as other books do. That might be because I'm used to reading fantasy. Contrary to fantasy, I found this book easier to read because while it contains 縁結び (matchmaking) aspects the situations stay mostly realistic. There's no magic happening that might otherwise complicate the understanding of sentences.
