If you like iyashikei or nonbiri shows, you'll probably enjoy the first half of this. If you're on the fence, it starts picking up from ep 5 on, and gets a lot more action a few eps later!
Story: The premise is somewhat interesting - a detached, wandering Elf who avoids forming emotional attachments to humans, due to their short lifespans changes her attitude after a former companion of 10 years dies, and she realizes she barely knew anything about him and the others she journeyed with (after all 10 years is less than 1/100th of her life). Spurred by this, she gradually retraces their steps, embarking on a new adventure, with new companions, while gaining more insight into her and her former companions' shared past.
Language: there's a mix of fantasy/magic vocab, and everyday language. The grammar is pretty straightforward, the magic isn't particularly abstract (as opposed to say something like Fate or Log Horizon), and the sentences tend to be pretty short. The characters are easy to understand, and the dialogue is not fast-paced. It's probably on the easier side for a fantasy show.
