Not my thing but it will interest some....(read vol 1 and 2)
Updated with the completion of Vol 2.
Personally wasn't really drawn to this story. Read with the bookclub. This story is heavy on the teen angsty side. It shares a few different views of high school teenage boys wrestling with being gay and acceptance of oneself and in the world in which they live. It's not a bad genre but personally felt this particular story was rather slow. Maybe if I was in a different stage of my life might have loved it but it wasn't for me. However, this is a book for those that really want to see those characters work through the internal turmoil and attraction to others. As another review mentioned rather introspective and it does a fairly good job at expressing all of the introspection.
Vol2 is better than Vol1 but still not quite my personal preference. But there were thankfully a few things in Vol2 that helped make the story better.
This book felt harder than 21-23, but not a lot of ratings yet, guessing it's closer to 25 but that's just me. Also this authors speech bubbles (switching between speech and thoughts), faces, names are a bit confusing....so if you aren't paying very close attention will definitely make it harder to follow main story. Several times had to go back and closely look at the pages and even re-read half of one chapter. Keep a cheat sheet of the names (or use the bookclub thread).
Pretty sure there will be some people that really fall in love with this story, but I wasn't one of them....
After reading - These books are probably lvl 26-27 (enough people have rated it) Found this really difficult to read, the language, the authors style, just wasn't fun like other books. Just my personal opinion.
