3.5/5 of Silly Fun
I picked up several volumes for super cheap and thought the premise would probably be a good laugh since I've seen shows like the Fudanshi KouKou. I wasn't expecting anything super deep, and for the most part it's pretty light.
I read the other review before I started the manga so I thought that there would be a lot of uncomfortable brocon, but to be honest, it's not as bad as other anime and manga. It's played in such a way that it's practically always awkward and cringey. Unlike manga like Ouran High School Host Club, it's not focused on the appeal of incest. I think we as an audience are supposed to feel uncomfortable at it and are invited to laugh at how ridiculous it is.
Other than that, like I said, it's nice and light. The jokes often revolve around the logistics of being a fujin (rotten person, not many specifically about being a rotten boy), which are relatable if you've also tried to buy bl in Japan over a length of time. I was pleasantly surprised too that there's an explanation for why they're a family of 3. I won't spoil it, but I think it's a sort of highlight for this volume. I am a bit surprised that we don't see more tropes (although the references to bl and whatnot are plentiful), but I suspect we'll get them in later volumes since it seems like more characters will join the cast.
