Good story, challenging words- Good Start for N1 Readings

Overall, I enjoyed the story. It started off very very slow and didn't really begin to pick up until around at least half way through the book. I took a sentence mining approach to this book, meaning I stopped and looked up ALL the words I didn't know. This made my reading progress move quite a bit slower than most, but towards 3/4ths of the way through the book, I was able to stop sentence mining because of the word repetition. Do be aware that there are a lot of literary style words in here that won't appear in conversations/news. I felt that there were a few plot holes and not all characters were fully developed to the best potential.

The story had a good twist in it, and I wasn't able to solve the mystery until close to the very end. This is a pretty decent read, but I am sure there are better storylines out there. It's good for a modern mystery take, just be aware of the slow start.
