I haven't written a review for a while for this series; it's a bit tough for a long-running series on a language-learning site, given that content and subject matter aren't going to change much. Instead, I just want to say that I've continued to endlessly enjoy this series with all its up and downs; there's been amazing character growth, nail-biting moments, and sadness and joy aplenty.
Shoutout to one of my favorite characters in the series, Vicente, for a very particular scene near the end of this book; he took this book and just ran with it. I can't wait to see more of him.
As is probably obvious from the cover, a new illustrator joins the series with this volume! Volume 12 in particular is jam-packed with gorgeous illustrations; please keep in mind that for whatever reason they aren't included in the digital version of the book. If you can't get ahold of a physical copy, the F&B book club on Wanikani has been keeping track of them all. Feel free to stop by and bask in the amazing series that is F&B!
