One of the most innovative and emotional pro wrestling shows I've ever seen
I was glad to see this one listed on TMDB, which meant I could add it to Natively (I think this is the first pro wrestling show to be listed on this site?).
It's hard to rank the difficulty because some of the important dialogue and scenes are only in Japanese, but if you have a general familiarity with Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling, you can sort of get by to some extent. Some of the humor and drama builds on past TJPW history, so the show might not hit quite the same for people who are new to pro wrestling in general, and/or TJPW specifically, but it's truly an incredible work of art.
It's hard to say too much more without spoiling the big twist, but the main event of this show uses the magic of pro wrestling to tell a sci-fi story that you couldn't see in any other medium. Despite the fantastical elements, though, the core of the story is deeply personal and very real, in the way that pro wrestling often is. If you enjoy plays or musicals, I think this will hold some of the same appeal, just with way better stunt fighting.
There are no subs available, in Japanese or English. If all else fails, there is this summary of the show you can reference for clarification: https://dramaticddt.wordpress.com/2023/05/25/tokyo-joshi-pro-hyper-misao-produce-hype-results/ (be warned that it does include full spoilers, so be careful when reading it).
Currently, this show is only available to watch with a Wrestle Universe subscription: https://www.wrestle-universe.com/en/videos/sTRNemPdud5isHWPfFv7ho.
