I thought the humor was more well-executed in the first volume. Especially a lot of the first half of this volume... like the whole tug of war Loki orchestrates had me rolling my eyes. Even worse, it's followed by the Loki sexually assaulting Mizuki for the lolz scene (which is one of my least favorite scenes in the entire series); ending with"oh Loki's suddenly scared of thunder, that's cute, they must actually be a good kid, let's fall asleep together, as if I didn't just get sexually assaulted"... like, what?!
Besides that, the character development and relationship building is done pretty well, and the final two chapters are what really kept me reading the first time around. I really love the flustered back and forth of Mizuki & Takeru trying to navigate their new reality and the (not so) subtle ways that affects their friendship. The interactions with Fujiwara are really wholesome too :)
