ストーリー: 一巻はいいと思う。ユニークな主軸とあらすじが素晴らしい、そしてストーリーはつまらなくなることもない。読者として困難なことはユフィの主観は面白いが他のキャラの主観の時はユフィがベタに描かれているのと時々イリヤの空想が長すぎる。四人の主観が交互に描かれていて飽きさせない出来となっているほとんどアニスとユフィだがアニスの父（陛下）とイリヤ（メイド）。アニスとユフィの父親たちはよく描かれていて感銘を受けたけどコメディっぽい暴力はあんまり好きじゃない。
言語: 難しい所は貴族言語（敬語や丁寧語や謙譲語など）。普通な貴族言語とか国王の口調、タメ語、メイドから貴族へ話す部分、そして龍の言語（堅い表現と古い表現）。メイドの使う言語は他のノベルより難しかった、次元が違う敬語（同時に凄く無礼な言い方）。魔法の専門用語と理論の部分はあんまり難しくないが作者は上手いことキャラたちを詰まらなく見せないように作ってる。オーディオブックも最高だと思うので一緒に使うのを勧めたい。
まとめ: 2巻を読む衝動は起きなかったが、恐らく近いうちに読むだろう。レベル３０～３９については良い選出と思う、話も十分面白く言語を難しく感じる時もあるがそれほどでもない。
Overall: While I didn't feel the urge to immediately pick up book 2, I suspect I'll continue with it soon enough. I think it's a great choice for an L30s fantasy that's a interesting enough, and a bit challenging, but not overly so.
Story: Pretty decent for a book 1. The rather unique hook and premise is really great, and the story stays interesting enough. The main challenges being that Yufi is kind of flat, when you're not getting her perspective, and Ilya kinda goes on too long sometimes. It keeps things interesting by shifting between 4 characters' perspectives - mostly Anis & Yufi, but also Anis' father (the king) and Ilya (the maid). The father characters are really well written, and there's much to appreciate about them (tho I could do without the violence for humor).
Language: the challenges are in the social registers and the fantasy/magic vocab. For social registers, you have the typical aristocrat + royalty, casual speech, maid towards aristocrat/royalty, and Dragon-speak, which is both overly formal and archaic. I found the maid-speak to be the toughest I've encountered of that sort of thing. It took formality to a new level (while also somehow also being highly irreverent). The magic vocab & theory parts are not so bad, and the author manages to do a decent job of not making them too boring. I'd highly recommend reading this with the audiobook, which is probly the best I've listened to so far.
