Incredible series with clumsy beginning
Update: having finished the whole series, it went so far beyond my expectations. I'd probably consider it the best, most profound manga I've read. So if you're on the fence, I suggest sticking with it (tho be aware it can be quite heavy at times)
I found the first 4 chapters just okay, but not that impressive. The MC has some sort of trauma she's grappling with/beating herself up over, and I was able to relate to her, but everything else felt like a mix of "fluffy, but this is paper thin, and I don't really buy it, but sure I'll keep reading", with occasional actual development. Also I mostly disliked the 2nd lead (Kaori) throughout them.
It was the 5th chapter where things finally got interesting, and got me hooked for volume 2! Also the author makes great use of the omake, and I can see a few things in the chapters that I think are probably planting seeds for future developments? Anyway, looking forward to volume 2 now, despite the iffy start
