This review is for the whole series, which I read the first eight books of. The first two books are available digitally for free and 3-8 I read with a Kindle Unlimited trial.
The story is about twin brothers who solve mysteries and go on adventures. There's a bit more to the premise than that but I'd be giving away the first book if I got into more than that.
The first book is a bit light on plot, mostly an origin story, the second is a local low stakes mystery, and the rest usually involve some sort of years or centuries old mystery that the boys solve, sometimes with a fantasy component.
I probably won't finish the series, though if my library bought them or if I somehow ended up with Kindle Unlimited again while I'm still at the stage where I have to read books for children, then I would read the rest. The writing and story was more engaging to me than the first Magic Tree House book, though it's maybe a bit more difficult because it was originally written in Spanish, so there is the occasional slang or expression that doesn't translate directly.
