A very sweet story about a couple falling (back) in love.

Even though it’s his boyfriend’s birthday, Fumiya picks a fight with Ritsu (precious cinnamon roll), who is so upset he dashes out the house. The next morning, Ritsu (tiny fluffy marshmallow) hasn’t returned home, and Fumiya gets a call from his boyfriend’s little brother (also adorable) who tells him there’s been an accident. As it turns out, Ritsu (sweet little cupcake) has lost his memories of Fumiya. Karma.

Worried about telling Ritsu (too pure for this world) about their relationship, Fumiya plays the part of roommate and friend. Memories of their past - falling in love, happy times they shared - resurface in Fumiya’s mind, a painful reminder of what has been lost. Ritsu (puppy with the waggiest tail), however, is blissfully unaware…

This one definitely got me in the feels. It’s a very sweet and pure love story, and while the setup is clichéd (I particularly love the cartoonish bandage wrapped around Ritsu’s head at the hospital to show the viewer that he sustained a Very Serious Head Injury), I found the story beautiful and engaging.

From a language-learning perspective, it's a good choice: simple, everyday language coupled with the short episodes and series length means it's an easy watch.

Romantic and heartwarming - it's definitely a series I'll be watching again and again.
