A "textbook" format reader
This reader follows a very traditional "textbook" format. Each chapter consists of a short text, a vocabulary list, reading comprehension questions, and grammar practice questions.
Chapters are divided into two sections. The difficulty of the texts in section 1 is around B1, while the texts in section 2 are at a B2 level.
The texts themselves focus on aspects of Korean culture, such as greetings and handshakes, 설날, the tradition of Korean women not changing their names when they marry, 애교, and more. Unfortunately, some of the texts are written in a very dull manner. For example, the text about Seoul felt as if someone was reading a map to me.
However, I found the exercises at the end of each chapter quite useful, as they helped reinforce the new vocabulary.
