Volume 2 is still very cute, but maybe just a little more difficult than volume 1 language wise. Most of the stories are at about the same level, but some of them are slightly heavier and those were the ones where the wording gets a bit more involved. The final chapter in this volume is actaully about the author's experiences getting published and that one's significantly tougher than the rest of the book since it's a real person recounting their experiences vs the simpler narrative of the actual series. The final afterword page is completely handwritten which unfortunately is my greatest weakness, but it was cool to see how the series came about and how it went from being an 8-page filler to an actual series.

The stories in this one are still a lot of fun, we don't have quite as many duck moments but every scene we do get with Gohan the Duck is precious. We dig a little deeper into the grownup cats and the story of Chibi's mom is very moving. The artwork in this is consistently beautiful and I love these characters.
