Summary This series follows the story of a widower (for the non-spoiler peeps: old man) who has recently adopted a cat that was typically passed over for being ugly. You'll read along as the two of them heal the holes in each other's hearts.

Review 3.5/5 While I do find the series to be heartwarming, I don't think that this first volume is vastly entertaining. With that being said--Ojisama is a silver fox. Such a hottie. 10/10 イケメン

Learning aspects: Since a cat is a main character in this series, get ready for a slew of にゃ's to dominate his speaking patterns. If you're uncomfortable/unconfident in seeing grammar patterns used in puns, you might want to hold off for a bit when it comes to reading it. Also, the Ojisama likes to use a lot of obscure kanji (and kanji for words that are typically written in kana), so you'll learn a lot of kanji.
