Collection of two rather generic oneshots
This book contains two one-and-done BL oneshots: the main bulk of the book is comprised of the title story, while the last 40 pages or so is a separate one.
The title story is, unfortunately, less fantasy than I was hoping. The premise is that a young man, after being summoned to a different world to fight the demon king, is suddenly transported back to Earth during a fight with said king. He resumes his daily life, only to run into the demon king at his university! Apparently some other random person was picked up by the demons to be their king who also got sent back at the same time; the two slowly get to know each other and try to come to terms with who the other person is beneath their initial impressions of "hero" and "demon king".
The fantasy aspect felt tacked on, to be honest; it read like a generic university love story that happened to have fantasy aspects added on to try to set it apart. The story itself was nice enough, but there wasn't a whole lot there. The short amount of pages definitely didn't do it any favors.
The second story in the book is unrelated to the first: in this one, you've instead got a rather generic "younger stepbrother is in love with his older stepbrother and older stepbrother isn't sure if he reciprocates or not". Not much to say about this one; like I said before, generic, which is not helped by the low page count.
Full furigana is given throughout the book, and the second story and the extra 外伝 chapter at the end do contain 18+ scenes, so be warned. The language is overall very simple and everyday stuff; I don't recall much, if any fantasy-specific terminology in the first story. Decent to practice your JP with if you're interested in the subject matter, but it's not likely going to blow anyone's mind.
