The famous work telling the story of a family during and after the Hiroshima ピカドン. It's split between 被曝日記 bits telling the events directly following the bombing, including several different perspectives, and a progressing story regarding the protagonists niece being unable to find a husband even years later due rumours about her health, having been at the scene on the day of the bombing.
I don't think i can really rate this one very well. The personal value of having read it far exceeds any estimations of how enjoyable the actual prose was.
There are some bits detailing bureaucratic confusions that seem a bit trivial contrasted with what happened, but overall these authentic accounts of people wandering through the wasteland describing what they saw are just horrifying. I think there's huge value in reading something like this and getting one or two steps closer to understanding what actually happened there. Definitely one of the more difficult ones language-wise though.
