ヴァイオレット・エヴァーガーデン S1

I did not like violet evergarden. Both the anime and the character. I would've dropped it pretty close to the start if it wasn't chosen in an anime club I participate in.

In general characters in this anime are either unreasonable, unlikable or just completely unremarkable. It tries to be dramatic and sad, having people break down in tears at the end of the majority of episodes with sad music playing in the background. But it does not do a good job of making me like the characters first. Sometimes it doesn't even try.

The main story line is weak and feels not properly fleshed out. Lots of episodes are episodic and follow a real samey scheme. After a few I guessed I'll never see any of these characters again, which just made me care even less.

This whole anime is a pig with lipstick. Sad lipstick.
