Definite improvement from my volume 1! Especially Shinobu's reaction to the kiss was portrayed really well! That instantly shot up my respect for the series, and it's nice to learn that the 稚児 thing is more than just an iffy word. I'm growing to appreciate the leads' dynamic a bit more (in part bc they're growing a bit), and it looks like some of the things that were bothering me about Shinobu's background may actually get addressed next volume! Side characters are out to good use as well
