A nice ending to the series that wraps up all the plot threads, and probably the best mystery in terms of both excitement and giving you something to guess about. It's still pretty obvious who the bad guy is, but the cruise ship setting gives an eclectic supporting cast to have you go "okay but who else is involved with this, and how'd they do it?". The language is still fairly easy with some cruise ship and music-related terms and the plot does a good job slipping a couple crucial clues in ways that fairly signal aspects of the crime if you're playing close attention and thinking about it but don't feel obvious if you're just going along with the conversation. It does a clean job wrapping up all the loose ends from the prior books, I think I wanted maybe a little more "where are they now" but it's nice that I've actually finished a light novel series finally (albeit one that's only three books long).
