Drama teetering between friendship & romance
This was my first Nao-Cola, and I really enjoyed their writing style. Simple, thoughtful burst, but with enough story and drama to keep it from being too airy.
It follows a year of the main character, meeting a group of friends connected through the Kastsura barbers/hair salon.
There's lots of everyday language and nothing crazy language wise. Occasionally if drifts into thoughts about what is friendship, but largely it's centred around day to day occurences.
A quote near the end around how their lives are like the bubbles and eddies in the wake of a boat was really nicely written.
