quite good, but some faults
each section is basically a reading + some grammar points, with some reading comprehension questions as well. the readings themes are pretty interesting. even having completed Quartet II, though, there were a lot of words I didn't know, so reading was kind of a slog. at the same time, I also learned a lot. it definitely feels appropriate after Quartet II. the "useful expressions" section has questions on various grammar and vocabulary topics, some (most?) of which aren't really mentioned in the textbook, so you have to look it up elsewhere, and that's pretty much the only problem I had with this book, and the reason I gave it 4/5. I admit that it also made me learn more, but still, there should at least be a few more pages explaining these expressions. I still think this is a very good book from which I have learnt a lot and which I definitely recommend!
