Okay, I'm hooked
Volume 1 was an intriguing introduction, but Volume 2 really starts to flesh out the characters and tantalize you just a bit more with the supernatural goings-on. There are great emotional beats that make the horror bits hit harder later on and it ends on one hell of a cliffhanger. The visuals are still really creative for the vampire scenes and I love how the author plays with perspective.
Language-wise this felt easier than volume 1, possibly because I'm used to some of the names and words, I still had to look up a fair few, but the reading was smoother. I appreciate that both volumes are pretty quick reads which will no doubt help me feel better about my backlog, but I've got to try not to burn through all of them in two days.
