This is the first volume that has relevant divergence with the anime. In the manga's favor, the way that Inuyasha and Kagome's fight plays out after the encounter with Kikyou is sooooo much nicer in the manga. Unlike the anime, it ends with a heartfelt conversation, rather than an ambiguous love triangle. I'm really looking forward to seeing more of that as the manga goes on.
