Interesting Premise, Easy Words, Boring As Hell Story
Girls Last Tour is a series about two girls living in a war-torn city, surviving their everyday lives alone. I picked up the manga years back in English and loved the feeling of loneliness present. The art was amazing additionally.
As for the anime, it's alright. It sorta got turned into a "cute girls doing cute things" anime and has a different vibe than the manga for me. If you're into that, sure, but I think that the manga tells a better narrative. Additionally, each episode is longer than it probably should be, dragging on scenes forever with nothing but little "banter" between the two main girls, which would probably be better if I cared about their anime counterparts more.
The vocabulary itself is fairly simple. Other than some war-related terms (as they're living in a post-war world), it's easy N3 or maybe even N4 level. I guess it makes up for the meh-writing, but if you want an anime at your level then just browse for another one with better writing.
