Mixed feelings
Story related
I really did not like how this story went and especially how the protagonist acted. He's dropped into a world where everyone is a cannibal and act like its something very holy and great. And he tolerates it? How? Throughout the story there is basically no resistance from him until like a brief moment at the end where he does a half-assed resistance, fails, and the person he's trying to save is killed. And then he COOKS and EATS them with joy? I don't care if the ending is bad, it is, but that's besides the point. My gripe is that there was no real struggle. Let's say this is meant to be some Kafkaesque horror story, if so, why does the protagonist not resist at all?Language learning
I don't know if this was exclusive to my copy of the book, but new sections of the book weren't marked at all or very clearly so you'd get confused sometimes when there's a timeskip. I also think the frequency of made up words takes away from learning any actual words.
