A New Arc Begins: Rich with New Characters and Events!
Entertainment: In the previous volume, we concluded the Klausner domain arc, and Sei returned to the capital. I expected this volumes' setting to be mostly located in the capital, but Sei and Jude quickly find themselves journeying to the city of Morgenhaven. From the outset, we delve into the development of a business leveraging Sei's saintly powers, following the introduction of two new characters. The customary "behind the scenes" chapters reveal scheming related to these new characters, adding depth to the narrative. Upon arriving in Morgenhaven, we meet even more new characters, including the intriguing Seiran. True to form, the story maintains its "slow pace," with a significant portion focusing on cooking, particularly Japanese and Chinese cuisines. The volume culminates in a grand ball that finally brings Sei and Albert closer together and allows many beloved characters to interact. It ends on a cliffhanger, promising exciting developments in the next volume!
Language Learning: By this point, you should not encounter any new terms that pose a problem after four volumes. The chapters focusing on cuisine introduce new vocabulary related to this theme, but nothing overly rare or complicated.
Overall: I thoroughly enjoyed this volume, especially after finding the previous one a bit short and lacking in events. The introduction of new characters, stakes, and settings breathes fresh air into the series. I'm eagerly anticipating the next installment and remain deeply attached to the characters. The volume also concludes with three short stories, notably featuring Aira, adding even more value to an already enriching read!
