I've forgotten to mention in previous reviews, but I love how Kagome's friends are concerned about her relationship Inuyasha - for all the right reasons. The fact that they try to point unhealthy aspects of the relationship out to her, in general, is one of my favorite parts of this series.
Otherwise the battle with the dragon is decent, but I liked it better in the anime. Tsubaki and her curse makes for an interesting antagonist, providing Inuyasha and Kagome with some important development. As ever, I really don't understand Kikyou's actions... like after that threat, if you thought Tsubuki was going to hurt Inuyasha, why not just kill her on the spot, or stick around to see whether she does or not, and then kill her. I did appreciate that she had confidence that Kagome would be more powerful than Tsubaki.
