I read along to the audiobook and the story just wasn’t for me (I just bought it as Chiba Shoya is the main narrator in the audiobook) but thought I’d leave some notes about the audiobook version.
The audiobook differs from the original text (I had it on kindle) quite often. It’s usually easy to tell where you are but sometimes gets quite confusing.
The actor for the culprit did a really good job in the last 30 mins or so of the audiobook. Really good stuff, even if I rolled my eyes a ton.
I’m probably just not built for murder mysteries because I couldn’t suspend my disbelief enough lol. It both surprised me and felt too obvious and on the nose at the same time? I didn’t hate it, it was just very out there and middling at best for me as someone who doesn’t read much in the murder mystery genre.
I did kinda like that the culprit had a guy turn into a zombie so she could kill him twice though. That’s kind of insane.
