I’m about halfway through genki 2 grammar lessons and can understand about 80-90% without needing a dictionary. The art and characters are cute and most of the stuff I feel the need to look up are semi-obscure words or cultural references that come up a lot with the wordplay based humor, so imo this is still an enjoyable read without needing to stop constantly. I will say that the font in my copy is quite small so sometimes the furigana is hard to read.
