This is the first novel I've ever finished in Japanese! In hindsight, I should have picked an easier novel to start with, but I did really enjoy the story. There is quite a lot of colloquial Japanese as well as game terminology, which was fun to learn. I'd recommend this novel to anyone who likes fantasy games and/or the isekai genre. The anime was quite good, but I much much prefer the novel. It has so much more detail, and the anime skipped so many scenes and rushed through things.
