A story of love, lies, mysteries and death through the eyes of a baby, a child. I can't explain much more without spoilers, but I strongly recommend it. You won't be able to expect what happens in the final quarter of the book.
Language wise, a lot of parts use rather simple vocab and short sentences. There are a lot of dialogues as well. However other parts are more vocab heavy, with some more uncommon vocab that describes animals. So I ended up struggling a little bit when grading this due to this disparity.
I would recommend this as a great but not too hard novel to read. Just take into account the fact that a lot of the time, the reader is left in the dark about things. You're not meant to understand a lot of what's happening, because the main character himself doesn't know either.
