It's a decent sequel, but in my opinion it suffers from the same problem as the first volume: Pretty much all the interesting dragon-related things happen in the first part. The longer second part is just purely high school stuff where Ruri might as well be cosplaying with horns and contact lenses for all it matters. Worse still, I could probably summarize all the new things we learn about her dragon nature in four short sentences.
And don't get me wrong, that second part is not bad, but... it's just not what I'm here for. It doesn't have to be all dragon all the time, but could it at least be a bit more present in the high school chapters? Could her being a half-dragon play any role at all there?
So while I enjoyed the manga a lot, it left me wanting and a bit disappointed. I feel like more could be done with this, and I hope the author finds a better balance between the fantastical and the mundane, and how to connect both.
